After years of honing her craft and building a strong product line, Kim went on to purchase her current property and from 2007 the BlueTongue label was borne.

Named after an Australian icon, the Blue Tonged Lizard Kim’s brand embodies all that is Australian. Real handmade leathergoods that are one of a kind and made with the utmost care and precision to be high quality, stylish and well-worn pieces.
Creating unique leather products since the early eighties, Kim works out of an old restored dairy on her property in Northern NSW where she draws her inspiration from the restored dairy and the rural surrounds.

Learning the craft as a teenager growing up in the Clarence Valley, Kim was lucky enough to find work embossing designs on belts and bags for a family-run leather-working factory.

After moving away from the Valley years later, Kim began to re-enter the leathercrafting world and started creating her own line of products which she sold successfully at local markets and horse shows.
